Welcome to Sav-a-cat.
In 2007 I became involved with the plight of abandoned, unaltered and feral cats and kittens. It hurt to see them left to fend for themselves, most times in harsh conditions, and decided to try to reduce their hardship as best as I could. I met with some local animal lovers who generously feed stray cats in the neighbourhood, and started an adoption centre in my store, Boutique 1-2-3 Woof in Rosemere Quebec where they were treated to quality, holistic foods, sponsored by myself and a few local animal lovers. The cats received love and attention from us and the neighbourhood children and vets who generously donated their time and expertise. We worked diligently on getting as many cats steralized and vaccinated as possible. Once done we spent a lot of time socializing the cats and kittens so they would be ready for their forever homes.
I have since sold the store and can no longer house them. We have relocated the cats to a new shelter where they continue to receive excellent care, but they need loving homes.
Volunteers & Foster Homes
We are always looking for volunteers. Although most of the cats are free roaming, we need help with cleaning cages that house small kittens and cats that are in transition. Help is also urgently needed to feed feral cats and to help trap kittens so that they can be socialized and ultimately be put up for adoption. Donations
Should you want to help but are unable to volunteer, donations are always appreciated. All money raised goes to cover the cost of feeding, cleaning and any medical expenses incurred. The medical costs include spay/neuter, vaccinations, HIV and combo testing, and treating ill kittens and cats. We will be arranging a number of fundraisers and you can check this site to view them.
